Description
This intenseive moisturiser is packed full of Hyaluronic Acid, the clever ingredient responsible for capturing and retaining water. It also helps maintain the barrier function, which in turn keeps skin looking and feeling youthful. Also included, is a plant-based Squalane. When paired with a powerful antioxidant known as Glutathione, you’ve got a dream-team combination. The Squalane imparts suppleness and flexibility into the skin and increases cell turnover to reduce wrinkles, while Glutathione helps to prevent pigmentation and fights free radicals.
It is recommended that this is used twice a day in order to really see the benefits, however, if you can only manage once a day, we reccomend using it at night.
How To Use
Apply a pea-sized dollop onto fingertips and massage gently into clean, dry skin every morning and/or evening.
Key Ingredients
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (1%).
Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is an oil-soluble derivative of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerhouse ingredient and serves a multitude of purposes. It gives antioxidant protection from UVA and UVB rays, it increases collagen production (collagen is what helps keep your skin firm and wrinkle-free), and it helps fade existing discolouration and prevents new discolouration from forming.
However, pure Vitamin C is notoriously unstable when exposed to light and air, and it can be quite hard on sensitive skin. To solve this problem, we have used a derivative that is more stable, gentler on the skin, and still delivers exceptional results.
Ceramides (0.5%)
Ceramides are naturally found in the upper layers of your skin and play an important role in keeping skin healthy and hydrated – think of them as a waterproof protective layer to help your skin retain moisture. Unfortunately, the body’s ability to produce ceramides dwindles as we age, so it’s important to apply them topically in order to keep reserves up!
Squalane (0.2%)
Squalane is a superb moisturiser that makes skin nice and smooth but without the heavy or greasy feel. Ours is derived from plant sugars, so you know no animals were harmed to keep your skin looking good. Squalane also increases cell turnover (helps you look fresh and rested), enhances skin barrier integrity (keeps your skin healthy), reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and provides moisture. Slam dunk!
Glutathione (2%)
Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that occurs naturally in the skin and keeps cells healthy by removing free radicals and delaying the early signs of aging in the skin. However, production declines with age, and when free radicals accumulate they cause cell damage, leading to wrinkles, inflammation, and discolouration.
