About Amanda

Amanda Olusanya is an industry expert with extensive experience in both cosmetology and barbering in the US and internationally. She began her career in 2001 at the renowned Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, which opened doors to working with industry titans such as Jon Reyman and Ted Gibson, both on and off stage.

As a national educator for brands like Aveda and Andis, Amanda showcased men’s haircutting on main stages across the US, traveling nationwide to educate licensed professionals on men’s hair. Her creative talent has been featured in high-fashion runway shows at New York Fashion Week and on the covers of magazines like Italian Vogue, and she has had the opportunity to meet and style many celebrities.

Amanda started her YouTube channel as a tribute to her mentors Mick Freund and Kurt Kueffner, sharing the knowledge she gained. Her channel has reached a global audience with 139k+ subscribers and over 18 million views.

Her greatest personal achievement has been mentoring and growing a team of men’s hair specialists through her two businesses in Minneapolis (2009-2021). Many of her mentees have gone on to have successful careers and start their own businesses.
